ABOUT ME
Textile artist
Kitty Mabel was created in memory of my Nan Kitty who lived to the ripe old age of 100. She inspired and encouraged me in my artwork and in my love of animals and nature.
I have drawn and painted since I was a child and returned to university to study as a mature student for a BA hons in Textiles at The Arts university Bournemouth. Through my studies my practice developed a textural element by combining my love of drawing and painting with texture and stitch. Paint and stitch create texture and combine these mediums together. When I create I lose myself in my work and it becomes instinctive.

I want my designs to inspire emotions with their texture and motivate the senses. My artwork and textiles relay my passion for the subjects that I draw and paint.
